Position Summary:

As a Quality Technician reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, your primary role will be to ensure that only the highest-quality products are shipped to our customers. This critical position involves executing and maintaining Mallard's quality processes and ensuring compliance across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a crucial liaison between production and engineering to address design and manufacturing issues that impact product quality.
• Document and issue Fault Notices (FN) for any engineering, planning, or process issues encountered in production.
• Conduct First Piece inspections and manage relevant documentation to uphold quality standards.
• Assist production teams in resolving quality issues, whether they stem from external suppliers or internal processes.
• Develop and maintain quality process-control documentation, including scanning and imaging of product documents.
• Issue deviations for processes and engineering as necessary.
• Ensure manufacturing order packets are complete with First Article documentation and all associated work orders.
• Archive daily production and inspection reports to maintain a comprehensive quality record.

Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Manufacturing Experience: 5 years required.
• Quality Experience: 3-5 years, demonstrating a deep understanding of quality assurance processes.
• Education: Associates Degree preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is a minimum requirement.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Independence in working, with the ability to excel autonomously.
• Competent in using data to draw sound, logical conclusions.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and experience with ERP systems.
• Preferred: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and completeness.
• Preferred: Understanding of manufacturing execution systems and MRP to update routers and BOMs.
