STERLING, IL, February 5, 2025 – Mallard Manufacturing, a leader in gravity flow storage solutions, unveils the redesigned Slim-Fit Full-Length Lane Divider. The patent-pending design features innovative connector brackets and durable three-piece steel dividers, allowing for easier, more cost-effective shipping while maintaining a superior fit, quick installation, and enhanced warehouse productivity.
Full-length lane dividers help workers load and pick inventory more quickly and accurately from flow racking. Depending on the application, pick rates typically range from 50 to 150 pick lines per hour, averaging around 70. A seemingly small time savings—just 2 seconds per pick—can add up significantly when multiplied across each worker, hour, day, week, and year, leading to a highly efficient picking operation and a strong return on investment (ROI).

“At Mallard Manufacturing, we continually push the boundaries of innovation to deliver high-performing gravity flow solutions,” said Kevin Risch, President of Mallard Manufacturing. “The new knock-down divider is convenient to ship and install to help our customers enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and better manage operational costs.”
Key Features of Slim-Fit Full-Length Lane Dividers
Slotted Brackets – Designed for quick and efficient two-person lane slotting and reprofiling, these brackets are installed as mirror images on both sides of the carton flow lane. Clearly marked with numbering and lettering, they allow precise adjustments in increments as small as 0.170 inches. This adjustable slotting system helps warehouses maximize storage density across the carton flow shelf, accommodating cartons of varying sizes.

Lane Dividers – Featuring a durable roll-formed steel construction, these dividers have a fold-over design for added strength and stability. The slim profile maximizes shelf space while helping to deter pest activity that often plagues round pipe-style dividers. End pieces come in five powder-coated colors, providing scratch and rust resistance for long-lasting performance. Slim-Fit lane dividers are available in lengths up to 12 feet.
Color Options—Available in five colors—blue, yellow, red, orange, and gray—they support color-coding organization and picking to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Secure Locking – The brackets fasten firmly to the carton flow tracks with a custom locking mechanism that prevents rotation. The divider’s fold-over design engages two bracket slots, ensuring a secure fit even in high-activity environments.
Worker Safety – The smooth, rounded edges of the divider end pieces reduce the risk of hand injuries during installation and daily warehouse operations.
Multi-System Compatibility—Slim-Fit lane dividers are compatible with Mallard’s Dyna-Flo, Dyna-Flo HD, and Dyna-Deck carton flow rack systems for new installations and retrofits. Brackets are available in 12” and 16” widths to pair with standard carton flow products.
Industries that rely on the efficiency of carton flow rack systems include retail, grocery, medical, pharmaceutical, health & beauty, automotive, electronics, and e-commerce.
Full-length lane dividers further optimize carton flow performance in key applications such as:
- Order fulfillment
- Parts organization
- Assembly and kitting
